The Plan ‘Student Ambassadors of Health’ Began In Areas under Coverage of the University

The plan ‘student ambassadors of health’ began in areas under coverage of the university.

According to WebDa, in the sideline of the regional meeting on national campaign for healthy marriage and student ambassadors of health, Vice-deputy of Health at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: ‘based on this plan, a national campaign is launched to promote a healthy marriage and to empower the youth’.

Dr. Seyyed Kazem Farahmand added: ‘to implement this plan, student ambassadors of health will be trained based on educational contents and then each student transfers their knowledge to other youth’.

He noted: ‘benefiting from the strategy of awareness raising mobilization, holding conferences, exhibitions and training sessions are on the agenda for medical universities across the country’.

Psychological analysis of increase in the age of marriage, youths’ challenges with their parents regarding marriage, joint plans and cooperation of the health education department with the Teenagers And Youths’ Health Department regarding healthy marriage and student ambassadors of health were among issues discussed by Dr. Hamed Ghazavi-director of Population, Family And Schools Health of the Health Deputy, Engineer Mehdi Gholami-the Educational-Research Deputy to the National Student Marriage Headquarters and Dr. Majid Jafarnejad-head of Education And Health Enhancement of the Health Deputy.

It should be noted that in the sideline of this meeting that was held with the presence of heads of teenagers’, youths’ and schools’ health departments of universities of the East and teenagers’, youths’ and schools’ health authorities and trainers of Health Providers Training Centers of townships affiliated with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and hosted by this university, three expert committees including: local committee of teenagers’ and schools’ health, and the local committee of the youths health of the East with the presence of heads and experts of the teenagers, youths and school health departments of South Khorasan, North Khorasan, Sabzevar, Gonabad, Zabol, Iranshahr, Zahedan, Neyshabour, Shahrud, TOrbat-e-Jam, Torbat-e-Heidarieh, Esfarayen as well as the expert committee for teenagers’, youths’ and schools’ health of townships affiliated with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
