Overview & History

Located in central Mashhad, the Montaserieh Organ Transplant Educational, Research, and Treatment Center is a specialized tertiary referral hospital affiliated with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), dedicated exclusively to organ transplantation, nephrology, and dialysis care.

Constructed by Astan Quds Razavi on a 3,200-square-meter site with a total built-up area of 9,200 square meters across six floors, the facility was transferred to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in December 2010. Following comprehensive specialized equipping by the university, the center’s primary operational mandate was established in the field of organ transplantation and dialysis.

The Hemodialysis Unit began admitting patients in December 2011, and the hospital successfully performed its first kidney transplantation on February 8, 2012. Since then, Montaserieh Hospital has provided specialized care to patients from across Iran as well as international patients from neighboring regions—particularly Central Asia and Iraq—while continuously expanding its capacity for both domestic and international healthcare seekers.
