Application Guide
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have the legal capacity to reside and study in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Applicants must complete and sign the MUMS application form and submit all required documents.
Applicants must provide a valid certificate concerning infectious and contagious diseases, including HIV, Hepatitis B/C, and drug or narcotic dependence. The certificate must be signed and stamped by the relevant Iranian diplomatic or consular authorities.
Applicants must comply with the educational and disciplinary rules and regulations of the university.
Applicants must hold the academic qualification required for the selected program.

Note: Academic degrees and certificates obtained outside Iran must be evaluated and certified by the relevant Iranian authorities.
Considerations
Persian is the language of instruction at MUMS. Therefore, applicants who receive final admission must attend and successfully complete Persian language courses at a language center at a university designated by MUMS.

Academic programs are categorized as high-demand or low-demand based on their level of popularity and applicant interest.

Application Procedure
To apply for admission to MUMS, applicants must prepare the following documents:
- Two copies of the completed application form.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A copy of the most recent academic degree, translated into English and signed and stamped by the relevant Iranian embassy or consulate. The original certified document must be presented at the time of registration.
- Academic transcript, signed and stamped by the relevant Iranian embassy or consulate. The original document must be presented at registration.
- Two copies of all pages of the applicant’s passport.
- Three recent photographs (3 × 4 cm).
- A medical certificate confirming the absence of infectious diseases, including HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, or any other condition incompatible with the medical profession. The certificate must be confirmed by the relevant Iranian embassy or consulate.
Application Steps
Submit the complete application documents by email to the International Students Admission Committee.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Applicants will be notified of the admission decision within three months after receipt of all required documents.
High school diplomas or equivalent qualifications will be evaluated and certified by the relevant Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education authorities.
Degrees obtained from Iranian universities are exempt from re-evaluation and certification.
Applicants must provide proof of Persian language proficiency before starting their academic program.
When required, the Admission Committee may appoint an expert interview committee.
The relevant degree or certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the program and the required examinations.
Tuition fees must be paid at the time of registration or at the beginning of the academic program.
Fee Policy
According to the resolution of the Board of Trustees of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, the tuition fees approved for the academic year 2014–2015 are listed above.
According to the resolution of the Board of Directors of the International Branch, tuition fees may be increased annually in accordance with the annual inflation rate announced by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The International Branch is not obligated to provide students with accommodation, meals, or student transportation.
