General Director of Health Systems Development of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that the total population covered by this university is 4 million 960 people and that the health records of about 4 million 850 thousand of them have so far been electronically recorded.

According to WEBDA, Dr. Ali Akbar Derakhshan added that the electronic health record has been implemented for over 95 percent of the population covered by this university in Khorasan Razavi Province.

He stated that electronic record of the health record is among the measures taken by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in line with the implementation of the Health System Reform Plan.

He pointed out that about 2 million people in Khorasan Razavi Province have so far been provided with medical and modern health care through the electronic health record.

He added that the electronic health record will soon be completed for all the population covered by this university.

General Director of Health Systems Development of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that in line with the Health System Reform Plan, all the age groups including children, the middle-aged, seniors, expectant mothers, adolescents, and the youth will be provided with modern health care by this university for free.

 Derakhshan added that preventing progression of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, educating nutritional issues, life skills, mental health, preventing social damages, and identifying gastrointestinal, colorectal, prostate, and breast cancers in women are among these health care services.
