The Emphasis of the Governor of Khorasan Razavi on Collaboration among All Organs for Promoting Community Health

Governor of Khorasan Razavi stated that issues related to the area of health-care is not merely related to this Ministry, but it is a responsibility that requires the support and cooperation of all authorities.

According to WEBDA, at the opening ceremony of Completion of Modern Health-Care Services System in metropolitan cities hosted by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences with the presence of the Minister of Health, Alireza Rashidian stated that 2100 hospital beds will be added to the medical capacity of the province. He expressed hope to deliver this service to people by the end of the eleventh government.

Governor of Khorasan Razavi expressed satisfaction with the definition of health programs for all age groups and pointed out that they hope to witness people enjoying the Electronic Health Record.

According to Rashidian, establishment of the Referral System is one of the main projects of the health area in the province. He stated that this subject of importance is based on launching the Family Physician Program.

He stated that in the area of health, the Healthcare Reform Plan is aimed at enabling people to identify factors effective in the health of themselves and the society.

Governor of Khorasan Razavi added that overcoming the shortage of doctors in rural and disadvantaged areas is among the blessings of the implementation of the Healthcare Reform Plan in the area of health.

Rashidian pointed out that as part of the Healthcare Reform Plan, 41 Community health centers and 116 health institutions were established. In this way, one million and 200 thousand people benefited from adequate health services.

He stated that in the system of production, distribution and consumption, health involves timely and appropriate education.

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education commended the Governor of Khorasan Razavi on his efforts in providing health infrastructures in the province, especially the suburbs of Mashhad.

In a part of the Letter of Appreciation bestowed upon the Governor of Khorasan Razavi, it is stated that health promotion is considered as the central pillar of sustainable development, and the realization of this issue of significance is only possible with the participation of all people, especially high-ranking authorities.
