26 MUMS Hospitals Covered by Hoteling Quality Improvement Program

According to Webda, Vice President of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said, “One thousand billion Rials have been spent on improving hoteling and quality of services of 26 hospitals covered by the University in Razavi Khorasan province.

“Improvement of hospital hoteling, which is one of the packages of Health System Reform Plan, has been implemented since May 2014 in MUMS hospitals,” added Dr. Shapur Badiee on the sidelines of the meeting of National Working Group on Revision of Hospital Hoteling Improvement Program.

He continued, “The seven aspects of hospital hoteling, including improvement of physical space, hospital equipment, human resources, nutrition, and financial, administrative and support issues are implemented with the goal of patience satisfaction and safety. According to surveys, 78% of the patients are satisfied with the physical environment of the hospitals covered by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. Our university is pioneering the implementation of hospital hoteling in Iran, and Emdadi and Taleghani hospitals of Mashhad have won high ranks in the National Hoteling Festival.”

Dr. Badiee also referred to the meeting of National Working Group on Revision of Hospital Hoteling Improvement Program in Mashhad, saying, “The meeting was held in the form of video conferencing and attended by hoteling representatives from 9 universities of medical sciences. Vice Presidents for Treatment of Abadan, Qazvin, Kurdistan, Gilan, Tehran, Shahid Beheshti, Sabzevar, Tabriz and Mashhad universities of medical sciences attended the meeting. Discussing the ways of better and continued implementation of hospital hoteling programs, and development of a comprehensive hoteling plan in compliance with the relevant standards for all Iranian hospitals were the main topics of the meeting.”
