The Head of Physiology Department from Germany Visited

Professor Hey Koluma, the head of Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology in University of Mainz, Germany paid a visit to the medical School and the newly established Department of Neurosciences of this school.

According to WebDa, in the side meetings of his visit, Professor Hey Koluma expressed his satisfaction from his first trip to Iran and said: I travelled to this country as to the invitation I received from officials of Medical School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences to attend a conference about epilepsy.

He added: meanwhile I made a visit to Medical School of this university. I am impressed by the developments in Neurosciences Department in this school. I hope the researches in this department succeed in their achievements.

The head of Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology in University of Mainz in Germany pointed out: I had never travelled to Iran before. Though as the editor of Neuroscience Journal, one of the most credible journals in the world, I got familiar with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences through the research articles of the researchers from this school.

In response to the question of “what do you think of the scientific developments in Neuroscience Department of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in comparison with the University of Mainz in Germany?”, he said: as to the intricate and strict rules in Germany, all works come to result after long period of efforts and endeavor while in Iran, the operationalization of Neuroscience Department of the school is done very rapidly.

Professor Hei Koluma stated: I am impressed by the working speed and quality in Iran as the Neuroscience department of Medical School in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences is operationalized within less than four months, which is a big undertaking.

Professor Ali Gorji, university professor/lecturer at University of Münster in Germany and the head of Neuroscience Department of Medical School in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences spoke of Professor Hey Koluma’s presence in Mashhad and said: in spite of being completely busy, he kindly accepted the invitation to travel to Iran and have instructions for the students in this university.

Professor Gorji added: Professor Hei Koluma would be our guest only for two days. He would have some few hour instructions in Epilepsy Conference, educational workshop, forum with medical students and neuroscience assistants, Physiology Department and the students of Mashhad Non-governmental University.

In the end, Professor Gorji expressed hopes that: this is a very good start for international instructions in this center in the Medical School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
