Appreciation of the Winners of the 9^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of the Country

The Deputy of the Center for Studying and Developing Medical Education of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that all the students interested to attend the 10^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran are invited to participate in educational courses before the university exam in order to evaluate their scientific ability.

On the margins of the appreciation ceremony of winners of 9^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran, Dr. Reza Parvaneh said to WEBDA that they are attempting to introduce the topics and fields of the 10^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran to the students during this ceremony.

He added that at this ceremony, university professors have been invited to explain the quintuple pivots to the students and also explain what is expected to be presented by students at the 10th Olympiad.

Pointing to the group second ranking of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in group philosophy, the Deputy of the Center for Studying and Developing Medical Education of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that this university won three silver and four bronze medals at the 9th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran. He added that the silvers medals were obtained in the area of clinical talents, basic sciences, and health system management.

Dr. Parvaneh reiterated that the 10^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran consists of five areas, namely health system management, clinical talent, medical education, medical philosophy, and basic sciences. He expressed hopes that the students of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences will be able to win the top places in the Student Olympiad.

He stated that it has been decided to support the organizers based on a memorandum of understanding with the collaboration of the National Elites Foundation and the Brilliant Talents Department, which is considered as one of the management departments of the Center for Studying and Developing Medical Education of the university.

The Deputy of the Center for Studying and Developing Medical Education of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences pointed out that due to the funding held by the Brilliant Talents Department of the university, supporting the elected students, regarding their participation in scientific festivals, publishing their books, and writing dissertations, will continue.

Dr. Parvaneh stated that Mashhad University of Medical Sciences participated in the 9th National Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran for the first time and aggregated 9 medical universities of the Preparatory District 9 in Mashhad. Of the total number of participants, 30 elected students were dispatched to Tehran, 9 of whom winning positions and medals in this festival.

Emphasizing the participation of all the students of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in the 10^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran, he stated that in this Olympiad, all the students can participate in addition to the students of the Brilliant Talents.

The Deputy of the Center for Studying and Developing Medical Education of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences added that the interested students are requested to attend the training courses before and after the exam in order to identify hidden talents for participation in such festivals.

According to Dr. Parvaneh, students will be called for registration in the 10^th Scientific Olympiad of Medical Students of Iran in December. He added that following the announcement of the call, all the students of the university can attend the university training courses held on the five areas of the 10^th Olympiad by the experienced university professors.
