Condolences of Chancellor of MUMS for the Tragic and Devestating Loss of Ayatollah Rafsanjani

Chancellor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences: “Words fall short of expressing our sorrow for the unfortunate passing of a most passionate figure in the history of Islamic Republic of Iran… ”

After the unfortunate and shocking passing of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of Expediency Discernment Council of Islamic Republic of Iran and perhaps one of the most passionate figures in the history of Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Mehrabi Bahar, Chancellor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, formally announced his condolences for this sorrowful event.

As reported by WebDa news correspondence, the exact words of Dr. Mehrabi Bahar were as follows: 

“This sorrowful event was indeed a devastating and tragic shock to the nation of Iran in whom the memory of Ayatollah Rafsanjani, the honest figure that walked side by side Ayatollah Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei shall always remain and be cherished. Words fall short of expressing our sorrow for the unfortunate passing of a most passionate figure in the history of Islamic Republic of Iran. May his memories be a source of peace and comfort. Our hearts go out to the nation of Islamic Republic of Iran for this heartbreaking event.

Indeed we remember the memories of Ayatollah Rafsanjani when he endured many pains and sufferings as he stood against the Idolatrous Pahlavi Regime. Even after the victory of Islamic Revolution, he continued his everlasting journey towards a proper Islamic Republic by accepting significant responsibilities in the republic including Chairmanship of Parliament of Islamic Republic of Iran, President of Islamic Republic of Iran, and Chairmanship of Expediency Discernment Council and Assembly of Experts of Supreme Leader’s Office.   

As the representative of Board of Directors and Faculty Members and Expanding Family of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, I, Mostafa Mehrabi Bahar, pay my respects and condolences to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran along with our dear nation, especially the academic society and family of late Ayatollah Rafsanjani for this unfortunate passing. May peace and comfort find you during this difficult time and may god grant you patience and support during this difficult time.”

And finally, it is worth noting that: Government Council of Islamic Republic of Iran announced its condolences for this passing to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei and scholars of Marja and the grieving family of Ayatollah Rafsanjani and finally our dear nation. Also, in memory of and respect to Ayatollah Rafsanjani, the government has announced three days of public mourning with Tuesday, January 10, 2017 as day-off. All members of our dear nation are hereby invited to show their magnanimity and respect by participating in the funeral of this grand epitome of Islamic Republic of Iran.
