Enhancing the Quality of Services, Main Target of Vice-Presidency for Health in the Year 2017

Vice-chancellor for Health in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences announced that the main target of Vice-presidency for Health is to enhance quality of services.

According to WebDa, in a meeting between managers and vice-chancellors for health in health care networks supported by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Hamidreza Bahrami emphasized the importance of the health file and said: ‘improving the quality of the Electronic Health File and optimally benefiting from qualitative and quantitative indicators of this system can enhance the quality of health services’.

Pointing that the Electronic Health File is reaching an optimal point, Dr. Bahrami said: ‘the Electronic Health File is a valuable means of clearly evaluating managers of the areas under coverage’.

‘Having 4,800 statistical items, this system has provided a unique opportunity for observing activities’, he said.

Vice-chancellor for Health of the University enumerated evaluation and verification as crucial plans being implemented by the Electronic Health File.

Dr. Bahrami referred to infrastructural plans that were implemented in line with the health reform plans in the area of health since 2012 and said: ‘establishing 41 centers and 111 comprehensive health service bases and employing 1160 staff to implement the Health Reform Plan, Vice-presidency for Health of the University has taken a giant step to enhance the health of the population under coverage of the university’.

He added: ‘in the Vice-presidency for Health, 405 health projects are on the agenda, of which 223 projects have been started’.

Dr. Bahrami emphasized full implementation of Nowrouz Health Plan and the importance of preserving citizens’, passengers’ and pilgrims’ health during Nowrouz holiday and strictly monitoring public areas as well as catering sites; he said: ‘it takes a long time for services in the area of health and prevention to bear fruit’.

He hoped that thanks to attempts made in the area of health during recent years life expectancy enhances within 5 to 10 years.

Surveying and evaluating methods, familiarizing with Sina Electronic Health File and reporting, performance report of the year 2016 and expressing targets and expectations of all departments and expert units of the Health Deputy were among the issues that were discussed in this meeting.

It should be noted that with the aim of evaluating this year’s performance and explaining next year’s targets, the meeting of managers and health deputies of the health networks of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences was held at the amphitheater of the Health Deputy with the presence of Vice-chancellor for health, Technical Deputy, Executive Deputy, and expert managers of the Deputy of Health Headquarters with the aim of evaluating this year’s performance and explaining next year’s targets.

In the end, Health Center number 2, Health Center number 1 of Mashhad, and Health Network of Kashmar that ranked first to third according to technical and logistics evaluations were selected as model activist in the area of health.
