The First Educational Workshop on Clinical Librarian Being Held in the University

The first education workshop on clinical librarian in Northern, Razavi and Southern Khorasan Provinces is being held in Mashhad University of Medical Science.

According to WebDa, on the basis of the management planning of the Development Center of Scientific Information and Publication affiliated to the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education emphasizing the necessity of holding educational courses of clinical librarian in 10 university headquarters of the country, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences as a headquarter (of Region 9 including Northern, Razavi and Southern Khorasan Provinces) will held the first educational workshop on September 27^th and 28^th in the library of Imam Reza Hospital.

Scientific Resources and Information Administration of the university and Central Library Administration are in charge of the scientific and executive management of this workshop.

With the purpose of empowering clinical librarians as information consultants in the health system, 30 managers and specialists in hospital libraries and faculty libraries of medical sciences universities of the three provinces mentioned above will participate in this 2-day workshop to be familiarized with the concepts of clinical librarian, various kind of influential resources in clinical decision making, systematic article reviews and their position in clinical decision making, Cochrane information center in Wiley environment, UpToDate collections and Clinical Key.
