Heart Abnormalities’ Diagnosis Is Possible in Embryonic Period

“Diagnosing a vast range of heart abnormalities is made possible from embryonic period”, averred Dr. Behzad Alizade, a faculty member in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences indicating the scientific capabilities and equipment of the university.

According to WebDa, Dr. Alizadeh asserted: “inborn heart abnormalities are of various shapes and kinds, a vast range of which severely influences life for which immediate early interfering measures must be undertaken”.

This pediatric cardiology subspecialist considers Ventricular Septal Defects (VSD) as the most prevalent types of heart abnormalities in infants and children. “Most incurable cardiovascular disease causing huge complications can be diagnosed within the early weeks of pregnancy. Measures can be undertaken for the treatment or miscarriage and abortion before the 18^th week by the consensus approval of three expert professors to request ending pregnancy to forensic medicine”, he said.

Indicating that we are moving forward synchronous with the developed countries, Dr. Alizadeh maintained that: “the incidents of embryonic treatments performed so far by the experts in this area have been highly significant, and it should be mentioned that all sorts of treatment measures including medicinal, surgical and even non-invasive ones have been made possible in the country”.

He averred that: “there had been restrictions in all aspects of the issue, though with the endeavors of our colleagues in different universities, we have fairly been able to progress. Fortunately, we are advanced in utilizing the equipment, not at all scientifically behind. The activities currently at work in our country are fairly unprecedented in the region”.
