Head of the Occupational and Environmental Health of Department of Health of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences announced the conferment of hygiene grade to restaurants of Mashhad.

According to WEBDA, Expert Ali Asqar Hasani stated that based on the law on foodstuffs, beverage, and cosmetics, the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education has been tasked with health ranking of centers and places subject to the code and publicizing the results of the last three health inspections.

He added that constant control and monitoring of the manner of cooking food by environmental health experts and improving food safety in guilds will provide people with peace of mind.

Head of the Occupational and Environmental Health of Department of Health of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences pointed out that in this regard, clients’ awareness of the hygienic status of restaurants is considered as a mark of respect for their selection and will lead to the improvement of hygienic conditions of such places.

He added that the Inspection Comprehensive System is capable of providing the society with hygienic status so that it is easily available.

Expert Hasani stated that in order for easy access to the hygienic status of restaurants, the hygiene grade certificate installation plan was put into operation in this university, and the installation of hygiene rating stickers had been conducted since the beginning of the New Year (Nowruzi) Health Plan.

Pointing to the terms of the hygienic rating of restaurants, he stated that the results of installing hygiene stickers can lead to environmental health inspectors’ special attention to confer stripes due to their being evident and responsible, accessibility, and easy visibility of the hygienic stripe.

Head of the Occupational and Environmental Health of Department of Health of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences pointed out that based on the survey conducted, the environmental health experts have had more tangible presence due to the installation of hygiene grades.

He added that owners of restaurants have requested visits by the rating experts, and the Industry and Mining Organization as well as the Union Room have expressed more satisfaction from this project.
