Taleghani Research and Treatment Center of Mashhad Achieves its License to Formally Accept and Provide Services to International Patients

Director of Taleghani Research and Treatment Center affiliated to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences announced that the center has formally been licensed to accept any and all international patients.

According to reports by WebDa, Dr. Masoud Khani stated that: necessary proceedings for launching the international patient department’s (IPD) tourism unit have been included into Taleghani Center’s agenda for 2014. The center has also been selected along with 6 other hospitals in the province in order to receive this license.

He also added that the center currently has 186 active beds and is performing the necessary proceedings for accepting international patients and promoting service quality and hotelling services at the center.

Dr. Masoud Khani also mentioned that the center had to go through 3 stages of evaluation before achieving the license. These stages were in order as follows: self-evaluation, evaluation by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, and finally, evaluation by the Ministry of Health and medical education.

The Dr. also mentioned that the center is looking to form agreements with health tourism companies in the near future.

Dr. Masoud Khani later thanked all his colleagues and personnel at Taleghani Hospital for their tremendous efforts regarding this matter.

It is worth noting that the IPD is responsible for accepting and referring foreign patients from active health tourism companies or in a more direct manner, to different hospital and is also responsible for monitoring their treatment till the end of their release.
