Gastrointestinal Systematic Review Articles

A marathon of articles: the systematic review of gastrointestinal articles in Mashhad is currently occurring for the first time with the participation of 50 medical students from universities of medical sciences in Region 9 of the country’s spatial planning.

According to WebDa, Dr. Azita Ganji, subspecialist in adult gastroenterology and assistant professor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences spoke of holding a workshop of article marathon, the systematic review of gastrointestinal articles in Mashhad, and asserted: on Saturday September 10^th, the marathon started to work and would continue up to September 15^th.

 She spoke of the top students in medical science universities in Region 9 of spatial planning participating in the marathon and said: 15 students out the 50 participants are from Sabzevar, Gonabad, Bojnourd, Birjand and Neishabour cities and will work on learning scientific article writing and presentation within six days.

The head of gastrointestinal and Liver Research Core of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences considered the purpose of holding this marathon to be empowering the students in writing and presenting the articles and attracting these forces to institutes and research centers to develop and promote science, and asserted: in so doing, there have been exclusive supports from the Research and Educational Administration of the university, the National Elites Foundation and the Prominent Talents Committee.

This subspecialist in adult gastroenterology highlighted: the executive committee of this marathon is comprised of five active students in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. The most prominent professors in the country and the province are invited to present instructions in this workshop.

Dr. Ganji pointed out: writing systematic review articles demands special expertise, in addition to the fact that the one who proceeds them must be skillful in various sections of the research. Hence in this workshop, we firstly investigate theoretic concerns and then collectively work on presenting the capabilities.

“The level of this scientific marathon is very high”, as she put it: the participant students are satisfied with the quality of the workshop such that we can claim that for the first time through the country such idea and workshop are being executed hosted by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

This subspecialist in adult gastroenterology emphasized the significance of achieving applicable outcome in this marathon and asserted: we hope that the selected subjects of study offered to the participant in the marathon for presenting articles on would finally lead to receiving good and excellent first articles from the students.

Dr. Ganji added: in this scientific workshop, we must be able to teach important skills of writing systematic articles to our students and attempt to publish these articles in credible national and international journals.

She added: although there has been some works on how to write research proposals and search in prominent national universities, there has never been such marathons anywhere in the country before. There has never even been any expectation to have such an operational presentation of transferred knowledge in this level through the country.

In the end, this assistant professor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: the major host of this marathon is the Gastrointestinal and Liver Research Core of Mashhad which has recently received approval to work affiliate to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in the last 6 months.
