Mashhad Dentistry School, Top Center in the Country for Research and Science

“With more than five decades of active work, Mashhad School of Dentistry has a special position among dentistry schools in the country”, said Dr. Saeed Asgari, the secretary of Dentistry Education Council of the country.

According to WebDa, in the ceremony of the 50^th anniversary of dentistry school establishment, Dr. Asgari asserted: the physical space and the skeletal structure of Mashhad School of Dentistry are recognized as the most impressive ones in the country for teaching dentistry.

Also in this ceremony, Dr. Mohammadreza Darabi, the deputy of Educational Administration of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated: at the moment, Mashhad School of Dentistry is one of the best dentistry schools throughout the country regarding the research and scientific activities. In the most recent rankings, this school has achieved high ranks in two domains of education and research.

Dr. Darabi added: in the framework of Health System Revolutionizing Program, Mashhad School of Dentistry is assigned to accomplish the mission of developing and elevating the country’s dentistry as to its high capacity and potentials.

He pointed out: the subspecialist major of Cleft Palate is going to be operationalized in Mashhad School of Dentistry in near future with the support of Educational Administration.

“Mashhad School of Dentistry possesses the essential facilities and potential to operationalize many subspecialist majors in the scope of dentistry especially cleft palate”, he added. “As soon as the license to train students on subspecialist major in cleft palate is issued by the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education for Mashhad School of Dentistry, student admission in this major would start”.

He added: 100 students are annually admitted to Mashhad School of Dentistry in various degrees of general dentistry, specialist and subspecialist studies.

In a part of his speech, Dr. Darabi asserted: considering the increase in the number of students, lack of physical space is one of the problems in Mashhad School of Dentistry as within the last 50 years, no new physical space is added to this school.

The deputy of Educational Administration of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences continued: according to the promise made by the educational deputy of the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education to help this, 2,500 square meters will be added to the physical space of Mashhad School of Dentistry.
