Neurosciences one of 10 Promotive Sciences
Neurosciences Is one of 10 Promotive Sciences Essential for Iran
The head of Science Center in Board of Faculties in the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education, Dr. SeyeedAli Hosseini, asserted: Neurosciences is among the 10 sciences that are essential and must be further promoted here in Iran. This responsibility is assigned to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
According to WebDa, in the inauguration ceremony of the first Neurosciences Center in northeast of the country in Mashhad, Dr. Hosseini said: five Neuroscience Centers are currently working in the country in Tehran, Tabriz, Kerman and Mashhad.
Dr. Hosseini, also the coordinator of Ministry of Health Hygiene and Medical Education in the 9th national district in thee Spatial Planning in Khorasan Provinces, added: the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education has assigned five particular missions to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences as the headquarter of Region 9 in Spatial Planning. One of these missions is the development and promotion of Neurosciences.
He averred: the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education expects Mashhad University of Medical Sciences as a role model to be able to promote Neurosciences in the country, region and the world through this exclusive mission.
“In 2015, the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education enacted 50 missions for Medical Sciences Universities in the framework of Spatial Planning of the country. Five missions were assigned to each university in accordance with their capabilities and potentials” said Dr. Hosseini.
“Neurosciences is an interdisciplinary scope including neurovascular science, basic and clinical sciences, psychology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and Neurosurgery”, he added. “Considering the prevalence of neurosciences-related ailments such as stress and anxiety in the society, the development and promotion of this major is essential for the prevention and cure of the related diseases”.
It should be mentioned that the first Neurosciences Center in Northeast of the Country got operational with a ceremony today on October 22nd 2016 in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
