Seven Residency Centers for Patient Relatives Are Run in Mashhad Hospitals

Public contribution administrator of Mashhad Imam Reza Hospital, Gholam Reza Abbassi, reported of seven residency centers for patient relatives that are currently giving services thanks to the helps and endeavors of philanthropists and charity contributions; four of these centers are located in Imam Reza (Upon Whom Be Peace) in Mashhad.

According to WebDa, “there are four residency centers for patient relatives in Imam Reza Hospital, Two in Ghaem and one in Shahid Hashemi Nejad Hospital with the total capacity of about a thousand people”, Abbassi added.

He said that: “these residency centers for patients’ relatives are established in those hospitals under the supervision of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in order to accommodate the families accompanying those patients who refer to Mashhad from other regions of the country to receive treatments

According to Abbassi, the cost of building of each of these patient company residency centers is about one to two billion Rials depending on their capacity and area. “A new patient company residency center is currently under construction at Imam Reza Hospital in Mashhad with the efforts of donors and philanthropists”, he added.

Another patient relative residency center was also established at Mashhad Imdad Hospital in order to provide emergency relief to those wounded in road accident, though for some reasons, it is not actively run.

He emphasized: “the helps of philanthropists in building these patient company residency centers in other hospitals of Mashhad plays a significant role in the support and the accommodation of the families of non-resident patients”.
