Set forth to Build CCU for Taleghani Hospital of Mashhad

Featuring a group of altruists, the construction project of Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is set forth in Taleghani Educational, Research and Treatment Center in Mashhad.

According to WebDa, this ceremony was held featuring Dr. Basiripour, the president of Health Altruists Association and a group of charitable philanthropists.

On the margins of the ceremony, Dr. Masoudkhani, the president of Taleghani Hospital, asserted that considering the transportation and road traffic in this region and the dire need of this hospital to coronary care units as the only road help and rescue center, this ward is being constructed with the collaboration of the hospitals’ Public Partnership Council in an area of about 800 meters with the capacity of 12 CCU beds, and extending ICU from 8 to 14 beds.

Expressing hopes to make the ward operational within the coming 6 months, Dr. Masoudkhani pointed out that Taleghani Hospital is established in 2005 as a road help and rescue hospital with the budget allocated in the Supreme Leader’s trip by his command. Though as to the public needs and requirements, the hospital transformed to a general one, with the operationalization of Coronary Care Units and, in the future, the midwifery ward, all facilities required for a general hospital would be available.

About other hospital projects, he pointed out that the clinic is currently under construction in an area of 2000 square meters with four surgery rooms, heart ward and angiography ward whose finance is provisioned through the budget of the Health System Revolutionizing Program.

He referred to the official order made by Dr. Hashemi, the Minister of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education, on the purchase of MRI equipment and asserted that considering the necessary facilities and equipment and the great number of patients referring to this educational, research and treatment center, in the two recent visits paid by Dr. Hashemi to this hospital, he has officially issued the order to the Foreign Currency Board of Trustees for Patient Treatment to purchase an MRI set, a second CT Scan set and an Angiography set to be financed from 80-20 allocated budgets (i.e. 80% allocated by this Ministry and 20% by the university).

In this ceremony, the president of Health Altruist Association of Mashhad, Dr. Basiripour appreciated public partnership council of the hospital and referred to the befitting measures undertaken by charitable philanthropists and averred that the endeavors of these philanthropists is so admirable, especially regarding the treatment. Fortunately, the Holy City of Mashhad enjoys a high rank and status in this regard.

Mentioning the 8.6 million dollar charity support in constructing Koudakan-e-Akbar (Great Children) hospital, he stated: so far, philanthropists have been a great influential help in Ghaem Hospital, Imam Reza Hospital and other treatment centers. In order to minimize the treatment problems in the scope of health more grounds should be provided for charitable people to be involved.
