The 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Mashhad Dentistry School
The ceremony of the 50th establishment anniversary of dentistry school is to be held with the presence of 1,200 alumni and professors in this school.
According to WebDa, Dr. Hassan Hosseinpour Jajrom, the chancellor of School of Dentistry in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, stated: this ceremony will be held on September 14th featuring a group of university officials, school alumni in these five decades, dentistry school faculty members and staff.
“The ceremony would be held in Science School and Dentistry School amphitheaters in morning and evening events”, said Dr. Hosseinpour, “a variety of programs and performances are arranged in an attempt to create good memories for the participants”.
Highlighting the development of this school through half a century past its establishment, he averred: this school started work with the admission of eight students and three faculty members. This school currently embraces 112 faculty members, 570 students in general doctorate, 100 specialist assistants, and four subspecialist assistants in 11 educational departments and majors.
The chancellor of Dentistry School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences indicated that this school has always been among the top school in the country from early years of its active work. In the latest rankings by the Ministry of Health, Hygiene and Medical Education in 2015, this school succeeded to achieve the second rank in the country following Shahid Beheshti School of Dentistry.
It should be mentioned that 11 departments are active in this school including: Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology department, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department, Periodontics department, Endodontics department, Oral Ailments department, Orthodontics department, Cosmetic and Operative Dentistry department, Dental Prosthesis department, Pediatric Dentistry department, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Department, and Oral Health Dentistry and Social Dentistry department.
