The head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: in recent years, the School of Nursing and Midwifery has had a great progress in publishing articles to the extent that the ratio of the articles to the faculty members have reached to above three, approaching four.

In his interview with WebDa regarding two World Health Organization members’ visit from MRO region, Dr. Heidari said: this visit can be very influential in introducing the strengths and capacities of Nursing Schools of the country in the international level.

“Through these events and programs, we can use the experiences of other countries and World Health Organization that is responsible and focused internationally”, he added.

The head of Nursing and Midwifery School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stressed: in this visit, university authorities get familiar to MRO concerns in Nursing. On the other hand, they can also be influential in attracting international students by introducing the strength and potentials of this school.

Dr. Heidari said: in recent years, with its 60 faculty members, the School of Nursing and Midwifery has had a great progress as far as its research potentials and strengths in the scope of publishing articles to the extent that its ratio of articles to faculty members has reached to above three and close to four.

The head of Nursing and Midwifery School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences pointed out: this school is known for its high potentials in graduate studies, research and clinical studies. This is a chance to fully benefit from what we already have built up.

He asserted: at the moment there are a thousand and three hundred students at this school, while 25% of them are in their graduate studies.

The head of this School of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: five majors of Nursing, Midwifery, Operation Room, Anesthesia and Medical Emergencies are active for bachelor and associate degrees.

Dr. Heidari pointed out: for the two main majors, i.e. Nursing and Midwifery, 11 majors are also active for Master Studies. The main majors in Nursing include: Nursing Education, Internal Nursing, Surgery, Pediatric Nursing, Mental Nursing, Social Health Nursing, Infants-Intensive Care, Adults-Intensive Care and Geriatric Nursing.
