The second faculty member of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences succeeded in getting a place among the top one-percent world scientists.

As indicated by the recent report of Essential Science Indicator (ESI), the second faculty member of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences was put among the top one-percent world scientists.

As reported by WEBDA, according to the newest report of Essential Science Indicator (ESI), in January 2016, Iranshahi, Mehrdad, the Professor of Pharmacognosy, School of Pharmacy, was put in the list of the top one-percent world scientists of Pharmacology and Toxicology field.

Dr. Iranshahi, with over 105 published articles, 882 general reference, and an average reference of 8.4 in each article, succeeded to be put among the top one-percent world scientists. He has recently published over 135 academic articles in international journals. Some of his other glorious achievements include:

-  Getting different research prizes including getting the 3^rd place in the 15^th Razi Festival in 2010;

-  Selected as the top young researcher by Ministry of Health and Medical Education;

-  Other research prizes;

ESI classifies different science subjects into 22 main fields including Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Math, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biochemistry, Economy, etc. In every two months, ESI ranks individuals, Universities, and Research centers according to the level of their reference to ESI’s published articles and announces the list of the top World one-percent.

Among others, Dr. Hosseinzadeh, H.; Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Pharmacy previously succeeded in getting a place among the top one-percent world scientists.
