The Title of the Distinguished Book of the Year

A faculty member in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences received the title of the Best Distinguished Medical Sciences Book in the 7^th Dr. Yalda Congress.

According to WebDa, this title was conferred to Dr. Fatemeh Ghane, subspecialist in pediatric nephrology and associate professor in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and Professor Farahnak Assadi, Rush university professor in pediatric nephrology, for compiling and publishing the first English book in pediatric continuous dialysis or (CRRT).

The book Pediatric Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy published by Springer Publishing in the U.S. in January 2016 elaborated on continuous dialysis or CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) in the kids who, for any possible reason, are inflicted with kidney failure and do not have the necessary conditions for conventional dialysis as to their cardio and general situation.

The book contains more than 100 pages and many chapters. It is the first book published about this issue in kids which is published by Springer Publishing under the name of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Ghane, the associate professor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences pointed out: all aspects of performing CRRT including selection of patient type, counter selection, type of soluble, and a complete explanation over how to perform this type of dialysis are elaborated in this book. In the final chapter, some cases are presented for further investigation for the reader, as well.

The 7^th International Congress of Updates in Research Findings in Molecular, Cellular and Clinical Medicine Sciences (Dr. Yalda’s Congress) started its work on Monday October 17^th featuring professors and national and international elites and dignitaries in Emam Hall, and ended its work on Thursday evening October 29^th.

The Annual Congress of Updates in Research Findings of Medical Sciences (Dr. Yalda’s Congress) is among the few congresses that is held embracing most majors in medical sciences. Among the unique features of the congress is gathering specialists from various scopes in medical sciences aiming at updating them about the most recent research in other scopes of their fields. Apart from this, various medical issues are presented by outstanding prominent professors in this congress, and of course, the major orientation is considering medical ethics.

In fact naming the congress after Professor Yalda serves the purpose of higher emphasis on medical ethics than other issues as Dr. Yalda was known all over the country as the epitome of medical ethics. The congress that is held under his name must definitely emphasize morality in medicine. He is the first Iranian medical doctor and professor who received the scientific award of Iranian Hall of Fame.
