Overview

Welcome to the Department of Immunology at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. Since our establishment in 1979, the department has served as a center of academic excellence in the field of immunology. We are dedicated to providing rigorous training and conducting high-impact research. Administratively, the academic department was reorganized in 2023 (1402) to maintain its focus on basic and advanced immunological science, separating its administrative operations from the clinical wards at Ghaem Hospital while continuing to support scientific collaboration.

• Advanced Laboratory Facilities: We maintain specialized research laboratories in Immunobiochemistry, Molecular Biology, Flow Cytometry, Immunogenetics, and Cell Culture, alongside our reference diagnostic services.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: We maintain close and continuous partnerships with clinical departments to foster translational research and clinical inquiry.
• Specialized Education: Our curriculum is designed to equip students with the expertise needed for careers in diagnostic laboratories, research institutions, and academia, with a focus on both basic immunological mechanisms and their clinical applications.
