Overview

The Department of Ophthalmology at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences is one of the university’s most distinguished clinical units. Established to provide specialized eye care in northeastern Iran, the department’s clinical and academic activities are primarily based at the Khatam al-Anbia Eye Hospital. Over the years, the department has evolved into a regional hub for ophthalmic subspecialties, integrating undergraduate medical education with advanced residency and fellowship training programs to meet the growing demands of modern ophthalmology.
