Development of Technological Infrastructure Will Be Followed by Scientific Leap of the University

The Deputy of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education stated that great technological infrastructure has been established in Mashhad University of medical sciences, and in case of successful use of this opportunity, great scientific leap will occur in this university.

In an interview with WEBDA on the margins of the opening ceremony of Research Projects of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Malekzadeh stated that Mashhad University of Medical Sciences has fortunately managed to make great progress in the past four years in the research and technology sector and win a better position at the national and international level.

Pointing to the implementation of the Cohort project in the Health Monitoring Center of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, he stated that this study includes the group of employees in the city of Mashhad. Cohort plays an important role in dealing with the health of the health sector staff. Moreover, it can be a huge infrastructure alongside the existing biobank and can prepare the ground for conducting research with the aim of prevention from non-communicable diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and other causes of premature death.

He added that alongside these major research activities, there are several systems for the registration of diseases in Mashhad, which is very helpful in the research area.

The Deputy of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education stated that the comprehensive research laboratory of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences is one of the most complete laboratories of its type. In case of good utilization of this infrastructure in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, great scientific leap will occur in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Pointing to the research funding of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Malekzadeh stated that funding is now a national problem and that they are facing funding crisis in the health sector. There is a huge deficit in the health sector, especially health and treatment, and unfortunately, they have had a tight budget this year now. He added that they are attempting to create sources at universities in order to develop technology.
