The International Congress of Diseases and Health Outcomes Registry

The First International Congress of Diseases and Health Outcomes Registry, and the First Country-Wide Congress of Medical Informatics would be held in February this year hosted by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

According to WebDa, this congress is to be held on February 14^th -17^th in Pardisan Hotel of Mashhad accompanied by holding country-wide program of training instructors of diseases and health outcome registry and the First Country-Wide Congress of Medical Informatics.

Some topics of discussion in the Congress of Disease and Health Outcomes Registry are: the Establishment and Management Doctrines of Registry System, Data Ownership, and Ethical Rules in Disease Registry Programs; Information Technology and Diseases Registry Software; Quality Control in Diseases Registry; the Role of Diseases Classification and Labeling Systems and Data Entry Related Standards; Linking the Databases and Data Analysis. 

Moreover, some topics to be elaborated on in the First Country-Wide Congress of Medical Informatics are: Electronic Health Profile and Computerized Medical Order Entry Systems; Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Decision Support Systems; Data Cloud (Big Data) Analysis, Data Mining Methods in the Scope of Health; Customer/Client-Oriented Health Informatics; Mobile Health Technology and Telemedicine; Medical Signals and Image Processing; Data Protection and Security; Systems and Interoperability Standards, and Electronic Learning.

The First Women Health Promotion Center Inaugurated in the Province

The first Specialist Women Health Promotion Center got operational in Khorasan Razavi Province.

According to WebDa, the consultant of the president of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in women-related issues, Ms. Mahboubeh Pakdel, asserted: SeyyedoShohada Women Health Promotion Center inaugurated with the attempts of health promoting philanthropists and Mashhad University of Medical Sciences concomitant to the Holy Birthday of Prophet Mohammad (UWBP) featuring a group of altruists and health authorities of the province in less fortunate regions of Siman Road of Mashhad and is supposed to offers educational, hygiene and treatment services to the women of 90 households residing on that region from 7AM to 7PM every day.

Ms. Pakdel added: this center serves the purpose of offering educational, hygienic and treatment services specific to women. In specialist fields including internal, cardio, ophthalmology, surgery, gynecology, midwifery, dentistry and optometry, faculty members of the university have planned to elevate the literacy of health in woman emphasizing self-care and empowerment in this important group of the society.

“Treatment costs of those individuals who refer to this center would be paid with governmental tariff by the insurance company, and in case the individual is not covered by any insurance services, the charges are to be paid by altruists in the scope of health services”, she said.
