Dr. Sheikh Hospital to Be Equipped with Flow Cytometry Machine

With the support of Health Charities, Dr. Sheikh Hospital, under the supervision of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, will be equipped with a Flow Cytometry machine.

According to WebDa, this instrument is purchased with the efforts of Mr. Ramezani’s Family. One hundred million Tomans was wire transferred to the bank account of Public Contribution Council. The rest of the total price was arranged to be paid at the delivery and installment of the machine in Dr. Sheikh Hospital.

Flow Cytometry is a laser-based biophysical technology applied to cell-count and separation, biomarker recognition and protein engineering by passing the cells one by one through laser. This machine provides the opportunity of simultaneous multi-parameter analysis of chemical or physical features of up to thousands of particles per second, and is highly applicable in the diagnosis of a variety of cancers.
