Development and Standardization of Outpatient Wards for Cancer Patients

Ali Rahimi, technical manager and supervisor of development projects in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences announced operating development and standardization plans for outpatient wards for cancer patients.

According to Webda, Ali Rahimi mentioned that this plan is progressing for developing hoteling package in the framework of Health system reform plan in the six centers affiliated to the university including Imam Reza, omid, Hasheminejad, Dr. Shikh, Quchan and Kashmar medical centers.

Pointing to the idea that these plans are ongoing in an area of 14461 m³ with 20 to 40% progress, he expressed hope that these plans could be concluded by the end of the year to develop services for the patients.

Ali Rahimi mentioned that executing hoteling package was one of the most important and effective measures of the Health Ministry in the framework of Health system reform plan. He declared that important and effective measures such as establishing special clinics, developing birth units, developing cancer patients’ out patients centers, developing and renovating  special wards of the hospitals and improving hospital wards in the areas affiliated to the university are active in the framework of this support package.
